A friend of mine sent me a video of a story that she saw on the news. My stomach dropped as I watched it! There was a cruise ship being tossed around by incredible rough seas off the Antarctica Peninsula. It lost an engine, and the water broke some windows on the bridge, killing a lot of it's power. Everyone on the ship is safe now, and it is slowly but surely making it's way back to land. Now, normally, this would be just another news story to me. But not this time. Starting next month, I will be living on a cruise ship for four months, so this video is TERRIFYING to me! I can't imagine being those passengers! Recently, I've been seeing and hearing stories about crazy ocean stuff, like rogue waves and hurricanes... and it's making me nervous! Multiple people have called me asking how I feel about it, which isn't helping the nerves! My ship is bigger than this though, I'll just keep telling myself that.
